Product Code: GROT-0028-P Price: Check Latest
This is a set of 10 modern Ahoj-Brause lemonade/ drink mix powder packets with a set of Reproduction WW2 Packages!! These packages were patterned directly off originals and are the perfect thing for the WW2 reenactor or living historian! The modern packages also are smaller (may require some trimming) than the originals and conveniently fit inside the reproductions making them also easier to use as well! These are excellent quality copies made on custom matched paper and professionally printed (not printed on a crappy dot-matrix printer in some guys office). According to our extensive research on German rations, it appears that it is extremely likely that Ahoj-Brause was in fact an issue ration item, or at the very least served to soldiers in military mess halls and also available for sale to soldiers in the canteens. We have an original copy of Wehrmacht Military Ration purchasing guidelines and price regulations that set forth prices to be paid for Brauselimonadenpulver. These regulations cover the Army, Air Force and Navy and the manual also has a subsection that covers the Waffen-SS and in regard to purchasing Brauselimonadenpulver, it refers back to the regulations set forth by the Army Regulations. (SEE THE SCAN ABOVE). The company that made Ahoj-brause was the largest in Germany during the war and it is very likely that they would have been the main supplier for the military. In addition, several other rations manuals, including the one we sell copies of, mentions Zitronenpulver (powdered lemon mix) and other powdered drinks as being a portion of the IRON RATION and other rations. According to veterans and families of veterans that I have interviewed, Ahoj-brause was used to make the terrible tasting well-water and terrible tasting vodka from the Eastern Front taste better... The original packages are individually priced in reichspfennings and would have been sold separately. The original package for "orange" flavored brause pulver is called "apfelsinen" which also means orange in German. This is a must have for the German WW2 rations collector, living historian or reenactor! The price is for one set of 4 reproduction packages and a package of 10 modern Ahoj-Brause Drink Powder mix. REENACTOR NOTE: There is a product available from 3M Scotch called "Restickable Glue Stick" (I found it on-line at Office Depot). This product can be used to seal the reproduction packages and then open them without ripping the package. If you insert the modern packages inside the reprodutions then seal with the Restickable Glue Stick product you should be able to reuse these repro packages.
