This is NOT an official German WW2 production pack frame but was found in an old barn in an ex battlefield area of WW2. We thought it was official German production but it is not. It was used by German troops as it has wachmeister stenciled on the bottom. This indicates it was used by German forces and its painted with both German field gray and ordinance tan paint. It is in good shape and would be a good item for the German WW2 collection but we do not have a positive idea of its country of manufacture.
