Product Code: EBAY-00598 Price: Check Latest This is a really nice original US WW1 helmet with a red stripe painted on the outside shell. This indicates that the helmet was not accepted for service and was probably used for training. The helmet is in good shape and retains most of the original paint on the outside with the original texturing. It has a hole at one end (see pictures), this was also done to indicate it was not accepted for service. The liner is intact and complete but dry. The leather chintrap is damaged but intact and also dry. It is marked Z 37 on the inside rim, and is a size 6 7/8. An interesting addition to your collection of WW1 helmets.
