| Reproduction Russian WW2 "Valenki" felt winter boots, in US Size 8. These boots have been produced and used by the Russian population for over 100 years and were standard issue to the Red Army during WW2. These are NOT overboots made to be worn over regular boots, they are worn instead of standard leather boots used in the warmer months of the year. These are made by the same factory that made them during the war and are IDENTICAL to those made during the war. These come with a pair of removable rubber overshoes. These were worn with and without the rubber overshoes by the Red Army during WW2. These boots were captured and used by the German Army and later officially produced by the occupying German Government and issued to the German troops on the eastern front, see "German Army Uniforms and Insignia 1933-1945", by Brian L. Davis, pages 114 & 119. These boots were issued and used by all ranks in the Red Army. See the photos above for them being used by both Russian and German soldiers. The Russian photos show them being used by Russian troops, a pair being worn with the rubber overshoes by a Partisan hung by the German Army, and a pair being worn without the overshoes by a high ranking officer in 1945. The German photos show a pair being worn by a German soldier and a German soldier wearing the rubber overshoes over his leather marching boots and the last photo of Germans wearing these withoug the rubber overshoes. Wartime photos often show Russian infantry wearing these with the white winter camouflage. The price is for one pair of valenki with one pair of matching rubber overshoes. |
