| This is a rare book of the Paintings, Drawings, sketches, trench art, political cartoons, posters, sculptures and other pieces of art done by the Estonian Red Rifle Corps during WW2. This is a beautiful book and I find myself often looking at my own copy and seeing something new every time. The art conveys a lot of emotion and the joy and sadness that comes with being a soldier in war. There are many color plates. It was published in 1963 and had a very limited production, and is a pretty rare item. It measures 8 3/4 x 11 3/4" and the pages are not numbered but the artworks are and there are 315 of them. The captions are in Estonian and Russian language. This is a really fantastic book and you will not be disappointed with it, I'm really sure of it. |
