LIMITED RESTOCK OF THESE FANTASTIC REPRODUCTIONS. THEY ARE THE BEST REPRODUCTION GERMAN WW2 BREADBAGS EVER MADE. I HAVE A VERY LIMITED SUPPLY AND IT WILL BE AT LEAST ONE YEAR BEFORE I CAN GET MORE. DONT MISS THEM! TOP NOTCH Reproductions of the M44 German WW2 breadbag with pocket for holding the K98 cleaning kit. These were EXCLUSIVELY made for Ostfront and are the best reproduction breadbags on the market. You will not see these in any other wholesale catalog, other dealers, etc. they were made specifically for us. It has taken over 2 years in trial and error to get these made but they were worth the wait. These were patterned directly off an original and when I say patterned, I mean first the construction was carefully documented and studied. Next, the original was dissambled to make different parts of the pattern. There was no guess work involved. The material was custom made and identical to the originals. Im serious, this is the best reproduction material that I have seen on reproduction German field gear items, its not the shiny type I have seen on other repro bags, its perfect. They have gray painted custom made hardware. They are marked with a RB number patterned directly off an original used on a breadbag. The thread is natural cotton and not shiny or synthetic. A few notes on the M44 breadbag for collectors and reenactors who have not seen many of these or do not know much about these. First, these were smaller than the earlier war breadbags, so if you have never seen an original and recieve one of our repros dont send me angry emails when its not the same size as your oversized postwar breadbag or your early war to mid war breagbag. Secondly, the pouch that holds the K98 cleaning kit runs a little large. In other words, the k98 cleaning kit will fit and will stay put and not fall out but its not a skin type custom fit for the cleaning kit. That is identical to the original and also the same for the cleaning kit pouches on the A-frame bags. I dont know why the Germans made them oversized, possibly to hold other items in the pouch with the kit such as cleaning rags, etc... The leather is 100% identical in pattern, color, and thickness to the original sample, the original was produced with a pigskin type leather, not pebbled or smooth. The leather on the reproduction is in fact: leather, not artificial. Many fieldgear novices may think this leather is incorrect but anyone who has handled a large amount of wartime fieldgear know this is a correct leather for use on these breadbags. This is the first piece of German field gear Ostfront has specifically manufactured for our customers and I am proud to put our name on these. I anticipate questions such as whether or not we are going to have breadbag straps and we do not have any plans at this time to make them. I also anticpate the usual question asked from a few of the more "honest" guys out there of whether or not these glow in a black light. I dont know, and I wont check either..... These are simply excellent reproductions, but Im sure not perfect. I will probably get an unsolicited doctoral thesis on German breadbags written by a 42 year old dork with nothing better to do than sitting on his bed in his mommy's basement with a ruler measuring his German field gear collection (that he bought with his allowance money). He will tell me that this point is off by 1/8 " or the thread count is wrong, save your emails and get a life. They are excellent! The price is for one.
